Live Results
The zone4 live results system automatically posts times to the internet as they are entered into the computer, allowing racers and spectators to see results as the race progresses. The live timing module runs silently in the background and transmits timing data to Zone4.ca where spectators and coaches can see live splits and real-time results. Live timing uses a unique super-low bandwidth protocol so that even the biggest races can easily be timed over 3G or low speed internet connections.
Hardware Integration
Zone4 timing software integrates with many popular timing hardware devices, including Summit timers, photocells, RapidCam photo finish cameras, and the new Zone4 Chip Timing system. Zone4's advanced time-sorting algorithm greatly helps to deal with the realities of real-life timing data which includes extra or missing photocell/plunger data and inevitable human error.
Reliability First
Zone4 was designed for the redundancy and stability of multiple timing inputs so you can be sure that even if one timing device goes down or misses a racer, their time will still be picked up by another device or a manual recorder. Times can be automatically accepted by the system so that results are immediately produced, or inputs can be presented to an operator to ensure that everything is reviewed before being processed.
Sport-Specific
Zone4 includes modules for race types including standard mass-start and time-trial, relays, sprint relays, multi-lap enduro races, pursuit races, and multi-stage events. The software includes sport-specific rules for cross country skiing, cycling, and biathlon races, and can be adapted to the needs of a wide variety of sports.
